New! Kimberbell Event – Sewing with my Gnomies

A new two-day event with a sewing and garden theme! This event features Kimberbell Blanks: polka dot tea towel, buffalo check tote, and rectangle pillow form, plus darling scissors and tape measure. You will learn new techniques like over-the-edge appliqué and more! It’s a cheery celebration, sewing with friends, and Kimberbell. Our Kimberbell event is a great way to have fun and get to know machine embroidery. This event is suitable for the beginner all the way to the most advanced embroiderer, you can even test one of our embroidery machines if you don’t have one. During the 2 days you will make and finish 6 embroidery projects all in the hoop. Included with your Kimberbell event, you’ll receive an exclusive sewing bag completely filled with Kimberbell fabric, paper tape and more to make six amazing event projects. We’ll even cut the stabilizer for you! You just need to come with your machine and a few basic supplies and be ready to have fun. We will even provide lunch.

New Hoopsisters Club

A whole NEW Hoopsisters Club! We will meet once a month for a seminar style class on the projects for the month. We will go over tips and tricks for the projects and review the instructions for the project. This is also a great time to ask questions about past projects, discuss possible trouble shooting issues, share ideas on what you did with the projects and show off completed projects. Bring show and tell and a USB and the files will be loaded during class.

Hoopsisters Sisterhood Quilt

The 2019 Block of the Month is Fleur de Lis. If you have an embroidery machine with an embroidery field of 5” or more, you will have so much fun making this quilt. All the piecing and quilting are in the hoop of your embroidery machine. There are 5 sizes to choose from ranging from 5” to 9”. Depending on your embroidery field and desired quilt size, you can make a wall hanging to King size quilt. This class is a great way to get to know your embroidery machine and make an amazing quilt.

Flower Zipper Clutch

A Sophisticated clutch, comes in three sizes. This pattern teaches raw edge applique, piecing and quilting — all in one hoop! Each zipper pouch is lined and shows no raw seams or stabilizer! What a great way to showcase “piecing” in the hoop, as well as how fun and easy an in-the-hoop project can be!

Kimberbell Quilts Sew-a-long

Have you been wanting to sew any one of the 4 kimberbell 3D embelsihed quilts – Jingle All the Way, Hello Sunshine, Broomhilda’s Bakery and Make Yourself at Home. But, so far you just have not had a chance? Well now is the time to join our sew-a-long. The class room will be open and I will be there to help you long the way. This class is open to both Machine Embroidery and Regular Sewing versions. This is not a step by step instructed class, everyone will be working on their own quilt at the their own pace. We will just be sewing together and I am available to answer questions if you get stuck and giving you tips and tricks along the way.

Colourwash

Scrappy Star

I’m trying to use up my bag of leftover strips and came up with this quick fun quilt. It’s a versatile pattern that can either stand alone on quilt top or be part of a much larger quilt.

Watermelon Placemat

Join Quiltworxs Certified Instructor Julie Faulkner to make the fun for summer Watermelon Placemats. A sewing technique called foundation paper piecing is used to assemble the units required to make these placemats. Curved piecing is used to join the units after the foundation piecing is completed. The placemats also incorporate laser cut stitch and peel for applique of the melon seed design. The pattern includes enough foundation papers for six placemats.

Jelly Roll Star Finishing

We will do a day of just finishing your Jelly roll star. So bring your blocks ready to put the wings on and fabric and I’ll show you how to do your piano key borders. Instruction will be from 10am – 12pm but stay all day and sew till you finish your project.

Kids Week at Countryfolk Fabric

From ages 8+. We will start with learning to use a sewing machine, sewing machine safety and then make a fun and simple quilt. Lots of fun and suitable for anyone that wants to learn.

3D Christmas Tree

Looking for a fun Christmas project? Please come and join me in making this stacked jingle tree. It can be made either as a floppy toy using children’s fabrics for your favorite child or grandchild to play with at Christmas. Or it can be made with beautiful Christmas prints so that it will sit as a table topper in your home. This tree is fun and quick to do, and it makes a great gift for friends and family. (PS: they are addicting I made 14 last year and gave them all away)
