Match Game – I Spy

We make this project using pairs of squares. They can be fun kid prints, bright colours, and cool patterns. This quilt is two games in one. Kids can play I Spy or find the matching blocks. You need 60 pairs of 5 inch squares. We trade in class so it is very easy to make up the 60 pairs. Each 5 inch strip yields 8 squares so you will have plenty to trade. This pattern can become a real addiction. I’m on my third one already.

Scrappy Wonky Log Cabin

This is the most fun you can have using up your scrap basket. One of my favourite patterns is the log cabin and I looove this one. The fabrics can be divided into lights and darks to maintain the traditional log cabin look, or go totally random for a unique quilt all your own. The strips are not a uniform width so this pattern looks like a new version of our well-loved log cabin. You can cut your scraps into strips ahead of time and hit the ground sewing.

Sundial Class

Join Quiltworx certified Instructor Julie Faulkner to make this new pattern – The Sundial using foundation papers and strip piecing processes. This technique uses 48 strips in a fast, fun project that creates a dazzling 12 point medallion. The quilt top is a great project for beginners, intermediate and advanced students, with all straight lined foundation strip piecing, and some very gradually curved piecing required for final assembly. It is compatible with Quiltworx 48-piece 2-1/2” strip sets and can also be expanded using Quiltworx On-Point Expansion packages, which would bring this design to 99” square. This will be a 2 day class split into 2 parts with a Monday,th in between each class to allow students to complete the strip piecing technique before completing assembly of the quilt.

Fee: $60/ Monday,th + Pattern
