Skinny Strips and Little Bits

Have you tried a crumb quilt? Kinda like the idea but somehow it just didn’t work for you? This is another way to use up those pesky scraps and make a cheerful, colourful quilt.I set mine with white to really show them off. It is surprisingly quick and you can make any size quilt. I’ve gotta warn you though, while it will make you giggle, it can easily become an addiction.

The Scandinavian Snowflake

This pattern includes enough papers to make (4) Table Toppers 20” in diameter. The pattern teaches basic paper piecing techniques and introduces quilters to the Quiltworx applique technique using laser-cut Stitch-N-Peel applique stabilizers for turn-under applique. In this project I will take you through quilt making and share my tricks for accuracy and easy quilting. If you haven’t quilted before this is a great project to see what quilting is all about. You will learn rotary cutting, strip piecing, pressing, machine quilting and binding techniques. It’s also a great class for quilters who would like to improve their skills.

Hawaiian Reflection Bag

Hawaiian Reflection Bag

This bag has a beautiful applique design on the handbag as well as a zipper opening. This design is an in the hoop machine embroidery design. The quilting is done in the hoop and the bag requires four hoopings altogether. The design comes in 3 sizes; 6 x 10, 7 x 12 and 9.5 x 14. In class we will be doing the 6 x 10 but you will receive all sizes. The bag is completely lined and has no raw seams. The lining and borders are added with your sewing machine.

The Waterwheel pattern is a Cut Loose Press pattern, which is different than a traditional Quiltworx pattern in that it utilizes various tools and Charm Elements which are stand alone blocks put together to create fast, fun, projects and layouts aimed at the beginner or someone that simply wants to try out a fast project to learn a new technique or how to use a new tool. This table topper has 2 simple units that are repeated and arranged to make the topper.

New! Sisterhood Retreats Embroidery Club

This club is an amazing value. This semester each month we will have a different theme: Beach Retreat, Zoo Animals and BBQ Retreat are the next classes. Each month you will receive multiple projects to sew but we will make 1 in class. During club we will learn multiple embroidery techniques while making fun useful projects. This club has been designed to work on all current brands and models of embroidery machines. Each month at least 1 project can be done in a 4 x 4 hoop but some projects need an 8” x 11” hoop. This club is a great way for the beginner or the experienced embroiderer to become more familiar with their embroidery machine.

The Strip Club

No we haven’t gone completely crazy! But you know the saying “girls just gotta have fun!” What we are going to do is provide you with yet another way to create exciting quilts using either pre-cut strips or strips you can cut from your stash.
