ELNA 760 CLUB

This class is for all our customers that have purchased the Elna 760 from us. In this class we will start from the beginning and go step by step on the workings of your machine. So, if you have specific questions about your machine please email them to me at countryfolk@tomssewing.com and I will make sure I have the answers for you. For those of you who just purchased a sewing machine at Tom’s or Countryfolk this would be one of your FREE lessons.

ARABIAN STAR BEGINNER QUILT

Make a traditional pattern a modern way. This class will accommodate the absolute beginner. DOUBLE FRIENDSHIP STAR

One of our popular Strip Club patterns, this quilt can be made in various sizes. To make it easier, you can start with pre-cut strips or you can stash-bust and cut your own. The beautiful spinning stars appear in a chain of 4 patches to make a striking quilt. It would make a perfect graduation quilt or a gift for that special friend.

KIMBERBELL JINGLE ALL THE WAY QUILT

“Jingle All The Way” is a patchwork quilt of Christmas surprises with more than a dozen machine embroidered designs and new techniques like chenille trees and traditional quilt blocks. The Embroidery CD includes all the applique designs in the quilt, plus 2 additional sizes for each design! Miniature fringe wreathes and Mylar lights adorn the row of houses and the vinyl applique makes the snow globes appear real. The festive flying geese strips are also pieced-in-hoop! We will be doing so many different techniques all on one quilt. This dimensional quilt has so many cool aspects to you will fall in love with it too! This class is a two day event where we will learn how to do the technique in class and then you will take that knowledge home to finish the rest of the blocks.

SISTERHOOD RETREATS EMBROIDERY CLUB

This is a great series of classes this semester. The themes for the next three months are: Sisterhood – pillows, wine tote and notebook covers; Christmas – Ornaments/tags, Gift Bags and a 3D snowman; and Travel – Slippers, Travel Bag and a Luggage Tag. These projects are created with a combination of in the Hoop EMB projects and Sewing to create the finished project (please note that this is not an “in the hoop” projects only class – there is sewing involved to finish off most projects). Learn a few new techniques, practice ones you know, create wonderful and useful projects for your home or to give away as gifts for Christmas or other special occasions. Each month at least 1 project can be done in a 4 x 4 hoop but some projects need an 8” x 11” hoop. This club is a great way for the beginner or the experienced embroiderer to become more familiar with their embroidery machine.

INTERMEDIATE EMBROIDERY

You have done a Beginner Embroidery course, now where do you go. Well, this class is for you. We will work on three small embroidery projects with more advanced techniques. Our projects this term will be a USB holder that holds 10 sticks, a crazy quilt block, and a lesson on pocket toppers and collar point. Join Us!

HOOPSISTER SISTERHOOD QUILT

This spectacular two-color quilt can be embroidered in 5” – 9” block sizes. This quilt only requires two fabrics and two threads. Learn to work with HoopSisters’ famous battilizer, a stabilizer/batting base, to easily create a quilt like no other, all with an embroidery machine. Each month learn different embroidery techniques to master these embroidery quilt blocks. At the end, learn HoopSisters awesome finishing technique for a fully-quilted on the embroidery machine look. This quilt is shown with the optional border.

USING YOUR COMPUTER EFFECTIVELY WITH YOUR EMBROIDERY MACHINE

Learn how to file on your computer. How to set up your internet to ask where to file your downloads. How to format and safely remove your USB Stick. How to save your downloads in your file system. How to work with a split screen. How to use your USB stick in your embroidery machine. Each student needs to have a working computer, USB stick and a mouse.

DELECTABLE MOUNTAINS – BUZZ SAW

Using the Delectable Mountains technique, this modified version looks very difficult. Surprise! It’s not. Scrappy or planned, you can make as many blocks as you want for any sized quilt. Each buzz saw takes 4 blocks but maybe there are other arrangements to try. I made 48 blocks to make a 45 x 60 quilt before borders. Great lap size.

JELLY ROLL STAR

Just a jelly roll and some background and you create a stunning quilt top. It measures 63 inches by 63 inches and is very simple to sew. Great for the quilter who has already done the basics and is ready for the next step. The binding tool is the perfect ruler to make this pattern go together easily.
