New! Kimberbell Social Embroidery Club

Do you love to embroider? Do you love to share your work? Do you love to learn new techniques? We will be holding a social embroidery club and demo a new technique each month. Bring your USB to have new designs loaded each month. We will not be sewing during this club, just demos and sharing ideas. The club projects will be based off Kimberbell designs that are clever, whimsical and a fun way to learn different embroidery techniques. Even if you have never done machine embroidery before, you will enjoy this club. Kimberbell designs are so cute and have amazing instructions; this club will not disappoint you.

One Block Wonder

I’ve been asked to teach this for years and I always said I would never make a One Block Wonder. Well, never say never. It fell in my lap and I am loving it. You only need one fabric for the body of the quilt. Cutting is easier than expected and the blocks turn out great. Laying it out takes some thought, so we will address that in the second session. Join me for this great kaleidoscope block and amaze yourself.

Delectable Mountains – Buzz Saw

Using the Delectable Mountains technique, this modified version looks very difficult. Surprise! It’s not. Scrappy or planned, you can make as many blocks as you want for any sized quilt. Each buzz saw takes 4 blocks but maybe there are other arrangements to try. I made 48 blocks to make a 45 x 60 quilt before borders. Great lap size.

Log Cabin Star

I just love my log cabins. This one is made from gorgeous Christmas prints but of course, you can use any colours for yours. Just make sure you have contrast to your background colour so your star can really shine. There are some special log cabin blocks in the center for some extra interest. Pre-cut your strips if you want to get a jump start on the day and learn an easy way to make your log cabin block.
