Machine Embroidery Level 1: Do you have a new embroidery machine? Come learn the basics on how to set up your machine to do embroidery. Find out about thread, stabilizers, how to hoop and how to open patterns and get ready to embroider. You will also learn how to save a pattern onto a USB stick or memory card.

Serger Class Level 1: Do you have a serger, but don’t understand threading and tensions? This course will teach you how to thread your machine, balance your tensions, lock that stitch at the end of your seam and sew: inside corners, outside corners, inside curves and outside curves. The class manual is $25.00 but, if you sign up for at least three classes at once, the manual is half price.

Paper Pieced Stars: Simple or complex, you can easily create these great stars. Even if you haven’t done paper piecing before, this is a way to make absolutely perfect points.

Sunflower String Quilt Using a couple of easy tricks you can make a scrappy quilt in no time at all. A great way to use up those scraps and make a bright, cheerful quilt that looks a little more planned than scrappy.

Embellished Tulips: This contemporary Shadow Appliqué technique is a great project for anyone who loves the look of appliqué but doesn’t want to take the time to stitch the edges under. Once the shapes are cut out they are placed on the background fabric, covered with tulle and then layered on batting and backing. Hand quilting, embroidery stitches and beading techniques are then used to finish the piece. Finished size is 11″ x 14″. Supply list available.

Use Your Scraps with NO FEAR!: Debbie is a published scrappy quilter and wants to share her knowledge (no fear of scraps) with you so you too can create those scrappy quilts that look great. You will learn how to organize your scraps and create a quilt from just one block the split 9 patch. Her technique will also include using a new ruler! So gather those scraps (from your stash or your friend’s) 3 inches or larger and join in on this new adventure.
