Canada Mystery Quilt

Celebrate Canada’s 150th Birthday

Have you signed up yet? Take the class or pick up kits. We have another class set up to help you get started on your Canada Mystery Quilt. Learn raw edge applique while creating a Canadian inspired Mystery quilt. Individual Blocks will represent Canada’s 13 Provinces and Territories. The block shown above is block 2, Nunavut.

Class Fee: $23/ class

Kit Fee: Block only $16.95/ 6 weeks (1 Kit every 6 weeks until March 15, 2017.)

Here’s a great opportunity to stitch one of Marti Michell’s block of the month quilts using her Perfect Patchwork Templates Sets B & D. Three blocks will be presented each month leaving one session for sashing and finishing techniques. Kits available. Supply list available.

NEW! The Strip Club: No we haven’t gone completely crazy! But you know the saying “girls just gotta have fun”! What we are going to do is provide you with yet another way to create exciting quilts using either precut strips or strips you can cut from your stash. We will have some great ideas on how you can work with these strips in a variety of projects. This club takes place once a month. Pattern included in class fee. There will be lots of fun along with goodies, coffee and tea! Aren’t you just a bit curious? Sign up for three months at a time but can join anytime.

3D Christmas Tree: Looking for a fun Christmas project? Please come and join me in making this stacked jingle tree. It can be made either as a floppy toy using children’s fabrics for your favorite child or grandchild to play with at Christmas. Or it can be made with beautiful Christmas prints so that it will sit as a table topper in your home. This tree is fun and quick to do, and it makes a great gift for friends and family. (PS: they are addicting I made 14 last year and gave them all away)

Sewing Machine Level 1:
This class will cover the basics of learning to operate your machine. Threading your machine, winding your bobbin, tension top and bottom , straight stitch, stitch length dials, stitch width dials, needle up and down buttons, reverse, tension on zig zag, dropping feed dogs, needle positions, presser foot pressure, threads. For those of you who just purchased a sewing machine at Tom’s or Countryfolk this would be lesson number 1.
