Hand Look Quilting by Machine

Hand Look Quilting by Machine: The focus of this class is using your machine to quilt a project, but having it look like it’s been hand done. We use invisible thread and regular cotton thread. Bring a small project and/or a practice piece, already sandwiched. Contrast thread will make the stitches show up. It’s fun to get another project completed while learning a new stitch at the same time.

Jacobean Journey Quilt: With HoopSisters you can make perfectly quilted, pieced, and decoratively stitched quilt blocks all in the hoop of an embroidery machine.  The 2014 EmbroidaBlock of the Month program combines the fun and unique HoopSisters technique with designed and digitized quilting by Sharon Schamber,   A centre medallion is surrounded by an inner border of beautiful appliqué flowers.   There is also an optional double French braid border design that also has its own quilted wall-hanging to coordinate with this heirloom quilt.  Make it with four fabrics in the top, or choose a “whole cloth” variation with only one fabric – it’s your choice. This is a great way to start using your embroidery machine! Come in and see our sample, this truly is a work of art.  Pattern is only available by taking the class.  Pattern available for all machine in  sizes 5″, 6″, 7″, 8″, 9″.   Class started in Jan but it’s not too late to join.
