This quilt is a combination of Traditional Paper Piecing and Machine Embroidery. This quilt can be made into several different quilts as it has 8 one block wonders. You will also quilt traditional paper pieced blocks in the hoop and learn piecing in the hoop. Block sizes available are 5″, 6″, 7″, 8″, 9″. Must sign up for all 6 months

Another original appliqué design from Cindy. It was suggested that maybe a dog design would make a nice change from the many cat patterns we see. They were so much fun to work on and I was very excited to get them into the class schedule. I’ve used the blanket stitch for the appliqué with jewel box joinings. These little guys just make me smile.

Skill Level: beginner & beyond

I’ve been asked so many times to suggest quilt patterns for specific fabrics. We all have that special fabric that we bought ‘cuz we love it, and it’s been sitting there waiting for a project. I’ve been asked to show how I come up with an idea for a quilt, how to plan it out and to choose fabrics to go with it.

If you enjoy free motion quilting the quilts you make learn to use long-arm quilting rulers on your home sewing machine. This class will introduce you to using these rulers and the design possibilities. In this class we will review the techniques, how to use the rulers and discover the design possibilities using rulers. We will practice using the rulers so you can create your own designs.

Do you have a new embroidery machine? Come learn the basics on how to set up your machine to do embroidery. Find out about thread, stabilizers, how to hoop and how to open patterns and get ready to embroider. You will also learn how to save a pattern onto a USB stick or memory card. This class is FREE if you bought your embroidery machine from us.
