Sew Educated Club

“Sew Educated” Club: A variety of techniques will be presented in this new club. Each month a specific project will be demonstrated along with several other ideas for using the same or similar technique. In March we will be talking about circles. For those of you who would like to take a class on the project after seeing it demonstrated, check out the “Sew Educated Workshop” section below. This club will encourage you to use your sewing machine to greater capacity while honing your quilting/sewing skills. You will not need to bring anything but a note pad and pen to these presentations. Pre-Registration is required. 

 

Dates: Surrey: Wed Mar 12, Apr 9, May 14, June 11, Sept 10, Oct 15, Nov 12  10:00am – 11:00am

Chilliwack: Tues Mar 11, Apr 8, May 13, June 10, Sept 9, Oct 14, Mon Nov 10   10:00am – 11:00am

Fee: $15.00 each semester (3 sessions)

Embroidery Club

Embroidery Club for All Embroidery Machines: We are starting a whole new embroidery club with a whole new line up of projects. Jan is a beautiful trivet, Feb is a zip case in the hoop and Mar is a table runner that teaches multiple hooping in a circle.. All great projects that would make great gifts and are just fun to make. This club has been designed to work on all current brands and models of embroidery machine with a min 5″ x 7″ hoop, if you are not sure if your machine will work give us a call to confirm.  This club is a great way for the beginner or the experienced embroiderer to become more familiar with their embroidery machine.  There will be a new project each month with new techniques learned each month.

Chilliwack: Wed Jan 29, Feb 26, Mar 26 10:00am – 1:00pm

Fee: $25 each session (must sign up for the whole term, pattern included)

Walking Foot

Walking Foot Quilting

Walking Foot Quilting: How do you know where to quilt? Choosing patterns and planning what to do can be easier than you think. Using your walking foot is the easiest way to finish quilting some of those tops we all have. We will discuss threads and tips and tricks. Bring a quilt already basted with pins, thread or spray baste, and we will make a plan for it and get it underway.

Friendship Star

Friendship Star

Friendship Star Table Runner: This is a great class for quilters who has basic quilting skills or those wanting to update their skills. Over the course of three sessions students will learn tips on how to work with off grain cuts, stitch bias squares the easy way, “in the ditch” quilting and Continuous French Fold binding. These table runners are great for gift giving or adding a nice touch to your  home decorating. Supply list available.

Date: Chilliwack: Tues Mar 18, 25, April 1    6:30pm – 9:00pm

Fee: $56.00 plus supplies

Fractured Angles

Fractured Angles: Do you have a special fabric or a panel that you would like to showcase?  If so, join us & learn to make fractured angle blocks that will border your design.  The quilt  size will depend upon your choice of feature fabric or you could make a quilt using only the fractured blocks if desired.  Some pre class cutting required.

Date: Surrey  Sat Mar 22  10:00am – 4:00pm

Fee: $45 + book $24.79
