Sew4Home Maker’s Monthly Club

We are starting a NEW unique Sew4Home Maker’s monthly club with the first of seven projects, each project will be done over 2 months. In this club we will create bags to baskets to linens and more, Sew4Home Maker’s Club members create clever projects and learn pro techniques. Club Project #1 helps cushion the work surface for your machine and keeps your favorite notions and tools handy and it does all of that while looking cute as the proverbial button!

Quilted Machine Mat & Caddy

The Quilted Machine Mat & Caddy finishes at 30” x 24”, which fits a wide range of machines and work surfaces. It has 13 pockets that range from 6” to 2” wide x 4” to 8” tall so you can tuck away all types of tools and notions. There’s even a detachable thread catcher. These projects are exclusive to Janome dealers.

March Pillowcase Madness

Tom’s Sewing has joined the March Madness Pillowcase Challenge. We are going to try to collect as many pillowcases as we can in the month of March. Join our team and lets see if we can win some prizes.

We will hold 2 pillowcase days in the store where you can come sew with friends. We will give you the pattern free and help walk you through it if you have never made a pillowcase. Bring your fun fabrics. All pillowcases will be donated to Children’s Hospital.

Butterfly Seasonal Runner

If you like to change table runners with each season join us to make this whimsical runner and learn how to do machine applique at the same time. This runner will be constructed over two classes with some pre-class preparation and homework allowing you to complete the project and learn some new techniques.

Getting to Know your Edge Cutter – Level 2

This is a part 2 of a three-part class where we will get to know the Edge cutter. In this class we will cover how to bring in files for cutting including scanned items to manipulate within the software Level 1 is required before you can take Level 2. If you have not done level 1 please call to put your name on a waitlist.

Double Friendship Star

One of our popular Strip Club patterns, this quilt can be made in various sizes. To make it easier, you can start with pre-cut strips or you can stash-bust and cut your own. The beautiful spinning stars appear in a chain of 4 patches to make a striking quilt. It would make a perfect graduation quilt or a gift for that special friend.

Jelly Roll Star

Just a jelly roll and some background and you create a stunning quilt top. It measures 80 inches by 80 inches and is very simple to sew. Great for the quilter who has already done the basics and is ready for the next step. The binding tool is the perfect ruler to make this pattern go together easily.

Binding Class

You are almost finished, just binding to do. All machine work to attach and stitch down or choose a hand slip stitch if you prefer. Mitered corners appear as if by magic. Easy start and finish. As a bonus, I will also teach you how to make Two colour binding, one colour on the front and one on the back. More magic.

New Life Easter Bag

This Spring or Easter basket could also be made as a tote bag with different strap placement. This basket has 7 different blocks included. There is one for the bottom border and then 6 applique blocks with a cat, a wheelbarrow, a sheep, a water can, a letter box with a bird and some butterflies. This design is an in the hoop machine embroidery design. The blocks are joined, and the lining is added with your sewing machine. The design come in 3 sizes; 4 x 4, 5 x 5 and 6 x 6 hoops. We will be doing the 5 x 5, but you will receive all sizes. The bag is completely lined and has no raw seams.

The mini professional tote has 10 pockets including a zipper pocket to hold your tablet. On the outside there are two patch pockets, a zipper pocket and two pleated pockets to hold a bottle of water or sunglasses. Totem Pole

This project is an amazing work of art. Because this is such an intricately cut pattern with many fine cuttings, I would recommend getting the laser cut totem pole. Laser cut included; one 7” x 29” laser cut raven beaver fusible applique in brown batik and 21 laser cut 1” laser cut circles for embellishment.

The Strip Club

No we haven’t gone completely crazy! But you know the saying “girls just gotta have fun!” What we are going to do is provide you with yet another way to create exciting quilts using either precut strips or strips you can cut from your stash. We will have some great ideas on how you can work with these strips in a variety of projects. This club takes place once a month. There will be lots of fun along with goodies, coffee and tea! Aren’t you just a bit curious?

“Quilt Til You Wilt”

These evenings continue to be very popular! Come in for an evening of “Fun and Finishing”. Bring in those UFOs and the staff will guide you in finishing them. New! Hoopsister Sisterhood Quilt

This spectacular two-color quilt can be embroidered in 5” – 9” block sizes. Come and see the blocks, this Hoopsisters quilt is fast, beautiful and really soft. Learn to work with HoopSisters’ famous battilizer, a stabilizer/batting base, to easily create a quilt like no other, all with an embroidery machine. Each month learn different embroidery techniques to master these embroidery quilt blocks. At the end, learn HoopSisters awesome finishing technique for a fully-quilted on the embroidery machine look. New! Sisterhood Retreats Embroidery Club

This club is an amazing value. Each month we will have a different theme and we are starting with Beans to Brew, Let’s Make up and Wedding Bliss. Each month you will receive multiple projects to sew but we will make 1 in class. During club we will learn multiple embroidery techniques while making fun useful projects. This club has been designed to work on all current brands and models of embroidery machines. Each month at least 1 project can be done in a 4 x 4 hoop but some projects need an 8” x 11” hoop. This club is a great way for the beginner or the experienced embroiderer to become more familiar with their embroidery machine.
